    Tavistock Enterprise Hub

The pieces you need to solve your small business puzzles!

Presentations, advice, Q&As, networking, and some good honest support and understanding to make you feel like you're not alone.

Whether you're at start-up stage or you've been in business for a while, no-one has all the answers - so let's get together and help each other.

Tickets are £40, including lunch. Must be booked in advance.

Rachel came to the last Small Business Support Day, and said afterwards: “I loved that it was so relaxed and very very informative. Learnt soooo much. I don’t feel so lonely in starting a business now!”

INCLUDES: FOUR PRACTICAL SMALL BUSINESS ADVICE SESSIONS

The Modern Marketing Method: step-by-step to real results
    Clair Wellsbury-Nye
Fed up posting on Facebook multiple times a day, just to be seen by about 47 people and liked by 2? Me too! So I learnt what the top pros are doing and started doing that for myself. And now I’ll show you.

Easy, effective self-care for improved planning and productivity
    Caroline Danks
I’m going to demonstrate analogue management tools that can make us more effective in our work and more contented in our lives by taking time away from the office environment for reflection, dreaming and planning.

Pro tips to make your DIY graphic design look less, well, DIY!
    Rachel Barnes
You don’t have the budget to hire a graphic designer, so you’re doing it yourself (like everything else!). And you know it’s not the best it could be, but you don’t know how to make it better. I do, and I’ll tell you.

Getting people – including yourself! – to do what you want
    Clair Wellsbury-Nye
An eye-opening way of understanding your clients, colleagues and yourself, to engage with them more effectively and achieve what you need. It totally transformed things for me – honest!

    PLUS: LUNCH AND NETWORKING

The last small business advice session will finish at 2.30pm; you are welcome to stay and chat over a cuppa for the rest of the afternoon.

    The Cause

    7.00pm - 9.30pm

The House, Plymouth University, Plymouth PL4 8AA

The Cause is a new play inspired by an imagined meeting between two great leaders of the women’s suffrage campaign - Emmeline Pankhurst and Millicent Fawcett. They believed in the same thing, but their methods differed greatly.

How far would you go for what you believe in?

I saw this in May and it was wonderful, so powerful and moving. Highly recommended. -Clair
